Dominic joined us in 2019 and has since become an exceptional recruiter in North America’s technology markets. With a focus on Montreal and the Java community, Dom’s career at Caspian One has been on an upward path - seeing him recently promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant. This interview looks at Dominic’s career path to-date.

This July we celebrate North American Manager, Paul Samuel’s 9th year with Caspian One - having been one of the original team members, joining back in 2011. Paul has played a big part in the company, with his all-round contribution to both the North America division and the wider company.

This March Caspian One welcomes two new consultants - Joseph Poynter and Will Brown. Joining our successful North American division, these new starters will be supporting the growing demands of our clients in Toronto; focusing on UI and Java capabilities.

Each year the Caspian One Awards enable us to come together as one team; rewarding incredible achievements, recognising commitment to the business and overall, enjoying time together away from the office. This July, select members of the Caspian One family were rewarded with a glorious summertime race day meet at Ascot... a special afternoon of horse racing, fine dining and glorious sunshine!

Celebrating beautiful blue skies, beaming sunshine and business successes this quarter - at the end of June, we took to the streets around our Bournemouth offices, for 2019's company summer incentive! Teaming up with iSpy we downed tools for the afternoon, to take part in an immersive GPS scavenger hunt that was personalised specifically to suit our beach-side location.

At Caspian One we started this year with a celebration of 2018’s successes - taking our top achievers on an incredible trip to Morzine, France for a few days in the mountains!

We sit down with Stephanie Nicholls to talk about her successes in Montreal and Toronto’s tech market - transitioning from university to a career in recruitment and challenges faced as a recruiter. Stephanie joined us in 2017 and has since become a key member of Caspian One's Canadian team, leading the way on Java technology recruitment.

The evening, presented by the comedy double-act of Mr. Dominic Bennett and Phil Hodgetts, is centred around an Oscars-esque awards presentation, which has eight categories - with winners selected by our Directors; along with staff voted categories including ‘People’s Choice’, ‘Best Stunt’, ‘Best Banter’ and ‘Worst Banter’.

Each year in December, Caspian One helps to give children a healthy start in life by raising money to support Save the Children. We do this by taking part in December 15th’s famous ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ along with businesses across the UK - dusting off our pom-pom covered sweaters and donning light up cardigans for a day of Christmas joy!
